✅ Trip Verified | Prague to Frankfurt. In Frankfurt I was chosen for a special security check without saying why. Then staff at the gate took my carry on luggage saying I'm not allowed to have it. On the airplane we had no option of more than one food.
Seat 52D (or G) in Premium Economy on the A380 is an odd seat where you feel like you're sitting in the middle of the aisle but the reality is its great for people who like their space, have long legs or prefer bulkhead seats in general. In terms of comfort, the leg rest, recline and seat pitch is far superior to United's Economy Plus but I think I'd still prefer United's new Premium Economy on long haul flights although I have yet to try it. If I take this flight again in the future, I would prefer to be in Row 50.
Note that seat 32A on this particular plane has two video boxes under the seat. This means there is practically no room for any bags at all on this seat -- and very little room to stretch your legs either. Not all window seats have both video boxes under the same seat like this one. But this particular seat did and it made things very tight.
✅ Trip Verified | Jeddah to Frankfurt. Got a seat in the very last row on this night flight. When the lights went off after we departed, I realized that the LH logo just behind my seat is illuminated by 4 extremely bright lights. No way to be able to sleep under these lights. I asked an attendant to switch off the lights. Waited for approx 5 mins, nothing happened, made another call, this time another attendant came. Asked again to switch off the lights, waited 5 mins, no result. I called the third time, then the former attendant appeared and told me that they cannot do anything about it. I asked for another seat, no seats available. Sort of apology, got a sleeping mask. For final approach and landing stage, the lights were switched off which made me feel like a complete idiot.
18D, 18E, 18F, & 18G all have the tray in the armrest reducing the seat width. In addition the misalignment of the row in front makes the use of the entertainment system awkward since it is at an angle.
✅ Trip Verified | Had a return flight Frankfurt to Bangkok with Lufthansa and both times it wasn't on time. It took about 1 hour to deliver my luggage in Frankfurt. Considering the flight delay I missed my train. Entertainment on board was only low rated movies and series and not many. Considering the fact that Lufthansa is one of the most expensive companies to fly with such service can't be justified.
✅ Trip Verified | Seoul to Manchester via Frankfurt. As usual with Lufthansa the flight was pretty much full. Seoul to Frankfurt was ok, but the boarding gate was miles away from the check-in desk. The inflight vegetarian meals are rubbish. Pre-ordered, so they knew they were required. Ovo-lacto means any egg or dairy ingredients are fine, but to cut corners they seem to just serve everyone a bland vegan meal. Spaghetti with a tasteless red sauce. Spaghetti with an airline fork? Penne or fusilli maybe, but not spaghetti! Lufthansa obviously just don't care about vegetarian customers.
18H is a very good seat for standard economy. Nobody annoying at all and next to the gate if you are in a hurry for connecting flight. LAVARATORIES - go to the ones at the end of the plane. There are 4, normally less used and very clean.
✅ Trip Verified | Rio de Janeiro to Frankfurt. Definitely below expectations. I had a seat on the upper deck. No single seats, the seats were too narrow to sleep with comfort. The light was not adjusted, no dividers for privacy. The cabin was hot and filled with the toilet smell. Flight attendants were nice but too formal and hardly available during the flight. On the good side, the movie selection and noise cancelling headphones were quite ok. The lounge in Rio is fantastic.
✅ Trip Verified | Frankfurt to Valencia. Flying Lufthansa - A good airline. Using anything Digital the worst experience among all airlines. Lufthansa (And Frankfurt airport) in general is a great airline to fly, with good planes, well maintained, great staff, clean, courteous, and efficient operations. The challenge is their digital experience. For an airline this large, I am shocked at how bad their web sites and APPS are. The speed is so slow that I feel I am back in the days of dial-up service. They seem to have layered so many pages on top of one another, that when you click on a button, you wait 10 to 15 seconds for the next page to load. Then, when you think you have it loaded, some other layer loads on top, and moves the screen so you have to search for what you were just doing. I recently booked a simple flight from Frankfurt to Valencia, and it took me over 30 minutes to book online. I then tried the APP - couldn't eventually book it in the APP because I kept getting kicked out. I don't know if this is because of internet security requirements, or whether it is because the people that designed the Lufthansa internet and APPS are incompetent. It makes me want to fly other airlines. KLM's web experience is quick and easy.
Front row of the second business class cabin. Booked via a travel agent so virtually all the seat choices were gone by the time the airline invited seat selection. Was a touch apprehensive given the yellow seat review but in fairness to Lufthansa they had designed the seats on enough of an angle to blunt the effects of the galley and the table as your aspect was at the bulkhead. The food was decent, wine choices better but what really stood out was the staff service ethic. They enjoy what they do and it shows, new planes, professional food and flying the quickest turnaround Dublin to Singapore (40 minutes Munich) make this a go to choice. Only downside is seat could be a little wider but more than compensated elsewhere.
✅ Trip Verified | Bangkok to Frankfurt. Premium Economy is almost twice as expensive as regular economy, but the advantages (real and perceived) are not in proportion to the price difference. Yes, we have slightly more leg space, the pitch is marginally larger than in economy, the screen is somewhat larger and we receive a small (but nice) amenity kit. Food is supposed to be served in china dishes, but the all tray was just put on a plate, instead of being deposited on the tray, I did not notice a difference in the quality of food. All in all, a terrible waste of money.
Excellent space, good seat, big window, good food and very good also for sleeping
Good seat, very comfortable seat and good window on your side.
✅ Trip Verified | Milan to Denver via Munich/Frankfurt. While the onboard service was slightly above average, I had a horrible customer experience at Munich airport. Inattentive service by careless gate staff about my checked bag in transit between a delayed LH flight from the US and an LH onward flight bound to Italy. To top it all up, staff gave me directions that proved inaccurate as for lost and found procedures at the arrival airport. I failed a complaint on the LH website which they escalated to the station manager in Munich.
✅ Trip Verified | Frankfurt to Bengaluru. Terrible experience with this airline. I purchased the premium economy seat (2 seats configuration at the end) & did an online check-in 20 hrs before. However, I was given a middle seat in the middle 4 seat configuration. I found the food they serve to be poor, and for me the media content more of an afterthought. Begs a lot to be desired.
✅ Trip Verified | Incheon to Basel via Munich. Lufthansa, great seating choices, inflight entertainment, good choices of drinks but they were lacking kind cabin crews. Now some were nice but there were 2 flight attendants that weren’t so nice. Whenever, I take an airline, I would expect the cabin crew to be friendly, wouldn’t you? I would at least. On Lufthansa, they were rude and unkind and so I am dissatisfied with their service. Anyhow, the meals were decent as usual but Lufthansa really needs to train their cabin crew. I am hoping my mext journey would bring up this rating. Ground Service also was lacking information. Overall, quite disappointed at the staff.
As emergency exit space is used for storage of carts, and for handout of meals there is extra noise. Magazine storage in shelf right ahead of seats creates some traffic.
✅ Trip Verified | Flying Lufthansa from Munich to Delhi. I should have flown KLM instead but due to bad weather conditions the check-in staff rebooked me to othe flight with Lufthansa. Therefore I got one of the very last seats - middle row - aisle seat, so literally every passenger going to toilet was going around me or crew when serving food. I cannot blame Lufthansa for that. The seat comfort was decent, the aircraft looked new and in a very good shape. Since I flew to India we got an Indian cuisine catering, which was fine as well. Overall the flight was fine, even though we experienced a delay due to Afghan air scape closure but again I cant blame Lufthansa for that. Boarding was chaotic since one had to wait in one line to get stamp at visa and then wait for a real boarding process.
✅ Trip Verified | Check in was smooth and quick at a small regional airport. Lounge in Frankfurt was overcrowded and difficult to find a seat. Flight to DTW was 1.5 hours delayed to technical issues. Once on board, i received robotic service. Food is average and for a 10 hour flight i found the portions small. The good things about Lufthansa is that they have a very good network, even the service is average.
