Premium Eco seats are definitively better than the horrible 10 seats rows in a 777 eco. The hard shell prevents you from kicks of the passenger behind and gives a little privacy though it sacrifies a bit reclining. Most important is a suffcient width. 5a has a bit more pitch. Reclining of the seat in front is unimportant due to the hard shell. Seat not smaler due to table. Went SDQ-CDG. Service very friendly. Food forget France, just simple eco meals.
The leg room in premium economy is almost equal to economy in Air India 777-200LR.
Great seat at the front of the economy cabin. Legroom here is infinite (even with curtain in front of you). Service is great, however you can’t enjoy in flight entertainment and cameras during taxi, TO and landing, as the monitor must be stowed in the armrest.
Good seat and just about long enough when semi flat - I am 6ft. Not disturbed by either the galley or toilets. Very good service from the cabin staff and great food. The plane is quite old but was clean and everything worked ok.
Since this airplane is the most cramped 777 in the business (my guess) I upgraded at CDG to Premium Economy. 289, which was ok given the economy seat on this one. Service was ok-good. Pitch was a bit tight for Premium Economy, and not as good as other PE like SAS Plus for example. Looks like a business seat but is quite narrow. Will probably never fly this particular 777 again. This was a flight to Cancun from Paris.
BAD. leg room and space itself for a person is shamefully scarce. The flight to the caribbean islands is almost 8 hours flight!!. The in-flight entertainment system is just a joke, so, so bad. Choose a seat close to the aisle so you can get up and stretch your legs. Very dissapointed with AirFrance quality standars in this configuration.
Seat is terrible for such a long flight. There was very little legroom, the entertainment system did not work correctly, the seat in front reclined and I was left with a claustrophobic situation. Never again...
Come on Air France... seat 30L should be given to any adult... You claim it provides more leg room, yes when twisted to the left due to the bulkhead. And charging 70 Euros extra for 30J, 30K is really poor too. All this row of seats are narrower than others and realistically due to the queues at the toilets stetching your legs out is inviting a painful awakening on a night flight........ I recommend the CEO to travel in this row.....
No room for right leg because of a large container that prevents you for seating right. So you'll spend 12 hours somehow twisted. Avoid 45L, you'll be in better shape taking any regular economy seat.
30A is quite uncomfortable because space on your left shoulder is reduced because of the plane profile. I tried 30C but couldn't take the risk that my right leg would be hurt by people passing by and waiting for the toilets access; which is what happens as I can see on another comment. A 70 euros surcharge is way to much for 30C.
First row of economy in this old and used plane. The width of the seat in row 10 is a joke. Even for normal-sized passengers the seat is narrow and hard, with no usb ports or power outlets and the IFE is from the early 2000s. Avoid 10K + 10L if you have long legs. While it is bulkhead, there really isn't any space to stretch. 10J looked better as you could stretch your legs out into the aisle. Do yourself a favour and never fly this aircraft.
11H30 of flight in a cramped seating position. No power outlet. No USB port. IFE system as old as the plane. Very small TV screen that are so old that when you press on a button to change something, you have to press so hard and so many times that the person in front of you shakes in his seat! Never again on Air France 777-300ER Caribbean configuration.
This PE seat is terrible. Pitch and width is small, IFE system outdated and the all thing slides-down and does not provide comfort at all. I would not fly PE on Air France anymore as the difference with standard economy does not justify the price difference. Even the food is an offense to the french cuisine tradition...
just flown on this flight 6/9/17. Seats seem smaller than prem economy I've flown on before. Wouldn't buy these again would just go business or economy.
The fact that AF has 10 seats abreast makes it very uncomfortable to be in the asile seat. The asile seat is very narrow. The Cabin attendants bump their asses on you all the time. During boarding is horrible because is so tight that everyones backpacks and hand baggage will hit you.
My comment elsewhere about seat 30J applies to this configuration. NEVER USE SEAT 30 j and do not be as stupid as me to pay extra to sit next to the toilets with people stepping all over your legs.
Premimum Eco on AF is not up to the best standards ( LO, LH...). Yes you get more elbow room (which is a big relief from the obscene 3-4-3 in cattle class). But the seats hardly recline (they "slide" forward a minuscule amount). There is a box underneath the seat which prevents stretching your left leg. As for the soft product, it is miserable: same as Y, no choice of meal entry on the outgoing leg (AF 820), horrible wine (not even Appellation Controlee!), terrible breakfast. Is it worth paying double the Y fare? Frankly no. I suggest AF CEO Mr. de Juniac book himself a ticket in Premium Economy on NZ and compare....
I am 190cm (6 feet 3 inch) tall. With the chair in the full flat position there wasn't enough room to lie and sleep, because the bulkhead was in the way. I could only try to sleep with legs folded. This review also applies to seat 1F (also tried the seat) and 1E (is the mirror seat of 1G). The chairs on row 2 don't have this problem (I flew with this configuration on another flight)
The seats of the plane are really really old. I mean for 13h hour flight it's really not what i excepte when i choose AIR FRANCE. In addition of the tiny screen our screens weren't working and we were not the only ones .... Space legs is ok but not so so great really surprising about this airplane for long flight 'CDG-BKK)
Seats are so old you can't move the arm rest! Entertainment system is as old are everything else, the screen is almost as big as my phone and you don't have any usb to keep your staff charging along a 11:30 hours flight. Come on... It's 2016!!!
