very comfortable trip from Seattle to Atlanta. Couldn't have been better!!
For the given flightnumber SeatGuru featured Delta One flatbed seats. In fact it were standard recliners (which hardly recline at all). It's a bit hilarious that Delta calls this class "First" I think it could be compared to what is Premium Economy on most airlines. The entire experience was mediocre. In San Jose there is a SkyTeam lounge no access for Delta passengers though. In a 5+ hours flight, flatbed seats should be standard. There was 1 meal served: breakfast , with a choice of "granola" (think Kellogg's) or eggs with tomatoes. Service was ok. There was no amenity kit. Not impressed. When checking in online, only 2 of the 10 seats where booked you could chose a seat when buying the ticket. At flight, all 10 seats were occupied. So it's rather an upgrade gimmick for frequent flyers than a genuine business class experience. Certainly not a "first class".
Yes, 19F is an economy comfort seat, and the seat chart shows great leg room because there is no F seat in row 18, but don't be fooled. The seat feels narrower, and the exit door intrudes quite a bit into the seat space, and the leg room to the right of 18E. This is among the most uncomfortable seats I've ever had on a Delta flight. If you are short and thin, it might not be so bad, but tall people seek out these seats because of the leg room, especially on a cross country flight. My advice, avoid it.
This entire row has no seat-back entertainment, which also means there is no USB charging port. Also, the fold down tray tables seem custom-fit in order to trip people getting in and out. Our row of 3 was 3/3 for tripping while getting into our seats.
Plenty of legroom. I did not have to pay xtra today. Checked into my flight from home and chose seat on Delta app. There is a plug in to charge your device and a tv acreen in seat in front of me. So far so good!
