Airplane Boeing 777-200ER (772) Layout 1 Japan Airlines (JAL) with 3 classes and 245 seats on board. Use airplane seat map to find which ones are more comfortable and which should be avoided.
When JAL introduced the "Shell Flat" about 15 years ago, it was new and very innovated. After 15 years, as many airlines (including JAL's Sky Suite) have introduced fill-flat seats, it has become outdated. But angle-flat seat with 60 inches pitch is still very comfortable. IFE is OK and the food on JAL's business class is great....
When you see a seat with a foot rest on a 90 degree angle at the end it's because the "lie flat" does not lie flat, and that stopper is so you won't slide off the seat while you're asleep. The shell flat seat sucks. It is definitely not long enough for a 6' person, and not flat. Fly China Airlines instead.
All K seats have IFE boxes restricting legroom. Instead of being attached to the side under the seat in front, they are installed across the under-seat space, meaning that feet cannot stretch fully under the seat in front.
This not 'real' business class seat. The 2-3-2 configuration is onky marginally better than 3-3-3 in economy. Save your cash and fly economy with JAL.
JAL have no idea about what budiness class is. Seat are extremely hard and narrow. I have never travellednin such a narrow and uncomfortable business class seat. I am not a large person. I but a medium T shirt to wear and a 32 pant. Hiwever i could barely fit into the seat for width. If you can fly Cathay, do. The plane enviro...

The seats reclined and were very, very comfortable. This aircraft had been recently f...
