absolutely terrible this layout 3x43x. Too narrow and a mass of people. The plane when full is so heavy it drops out of the air when landing. Definitely NOT a 5 star service.
A well designed business class area. Good, friendly staff. Comfortable seating, with full reclining bed a real bonus. Entertainment system OK, although routing on handheld device a bit quirky. Choice of films and music reasonable. although more under "classic" heading would have been welcome. Food and beverages very good. Good selection of wines, but from a personal standpoint would have welcomed a slightly larger range of whiskies (my own preference is for Islay malts). Only main issue on this flight (and not on the return journey from Doha to London on 2 April) was a group of passengers mingling in the open area behind row 5 who were drinking more than other business class passengers and were becoming louder as the flight progressed. Fortunately it was a daytime flight (2.00pm departure from Gatwick) and the noise reducing headphones proved a real blessing in diminishing the sense of intrusion, but some passengers were trying to sleep and the noise was detrimental to this. Staff tried their best to mitigate the intrusion but the group seemed determined to be noisy. Procedures for both boarding and disembarking were very smooth and we were able to transfer to our ongoing flight with ease.
✅ Trip Verified | Edinburgh to Lahore via Doha. Best airline. Absolutely brilliant, great helpful staff. The meals served were fantastic and the A350 is a very comfortable and modern plane to travel in.
✅ Trip Verified | Tehran to Copenhagen via Doha. The staff were very friendly and helpful at the Tehran Airport, especially Ehsan and Shokoufeh who helped us with check in process and the seat. I really appreciate their kind help. I will definitely choose Qatar Airways for my future flights and recommend it to my friends as well.
Seated in business class in a QSuite seat. Seat 5a is a rear facing window seat. Very comfortable seat as usual with Qatar Airways. It was a little disconcerting at first to be seated facing backwards but you soon adjust to this. You just need to be aware you need to make sure everything is packed away for landing or to all slides forwards to you on landing. Seems to have a little less at seat storage than on the Qatar Boeing Dreamliner seat layout, but maybe I am wrong.
✅ Trip Verified | Doha to Amsterdam. My first time experiencing the Qsuite, which is outstanding. The suite was very private once doors are shut and there was good enough space for stretching out. Meals are served on demand and the staff were happy to serve me a cheese platter first and then a main meal 4 hours later. Service is personal and outstanding. I will definitely fly Qatar again.
✅ Trip Verified | Manchester to Doha return. A great experience from start to finish. All ground staff pleasant and helpful. Cabin crew provided a consistent service to ensure our comfort and all needs met. Nothing was too much trouble. Particularly want to thank Samyak a ground team member at Doha, who helped myself and my daughter check in and ensured we were sat together in our long journey home. What a champ. Will definitely re booking with Qatar airways again
✅ Trip Verified | Maputo to Rio de Janeiro via Doha. I had an excellent flight with Qatar Airways. Special thanks to Ms Divya and Ms Sherry who both rendered an excellent service, with a lot of dignity and attention to details. Excellent airline.
✅ Trip Verified | Vienna to Denpasar via Doha. My meals were very bad, seat comfort okay for Vienna to Doha and bad for Doha to Denpasar. My entertainment System not working on Doha – Denpasar.
✅ Trip Verified | Perth to Doha. Upon boarding, personal steward escorted me to seat and offered me a drink. A case containing Italian toiletries was waiting at the seat. We were offered pyjamas and slippers for the flight. Seat can be converted into a flat bed. Good selection of meals with a large selection of wines. Amazing lounge is fantastic for stretching out the legs. Entertainment and inflight shopping selections are wide. However, inflight shopping is quite expensive. Despite the large business class numbers, we continued to have very attentive service throughout the flight and I was actually able to sleep well on the flight. This is my first time on QR business and I am extremely impressed. I will definitely fly Qatar Airways again.
I had booked business class for this trip to the UK but was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to first class on checking in and I didn't even ask for it. Seat 1A is the very first seat on the top deck of the A380 on the left hand side of the aircraft. The bathroom is just through a curtain and is seriously the largest bathroom I have ever encountered on any aircraft. The facilities overall were faultless and the a la carte menu to die for. Easily the most comfortable and widest seat I've come across in the sky. The entertainment system has so much choice it would take half a lifetime to watch all of it. The only criticism I could make is that the hand held control was very slow to respond and the touch screen too far away to use but hey, that just goes to show how much space you get in this luxurious seat! 5 stars all round.
This QATAR flight uses a LATAM A350 in 2-2-2 configuration. The aircraft can’t cope with that layout on long flights. This is in contrast to the 1-2-1 displayed when I checked in and booked my seat - something rather odd here that the aircraft configuration offered on checking in just a few hours earlier doesn’t match the a350 I thought I was checking in for. It’s a bloody awful layout as the beds are so wide at the foot to need to twist you ankle to get your food between the seats to get our, or in the end you just stand on the seat and lead over your sleeping Neighbour. Food was fine but you think the staff are goin to drop everything in your lap as the lean over to try to serve you. Avoid window seats in this LATAM aircraft.
Seats 31a/k in the exit row have less legroom than b/j due to protruding emergency door equipment
✅ Trip Verified | Stockholm to Doha. As always a pleasure flying with Qatar airways. Clean fresh cabin with excellent service. Food and beverage top of the line. In-flight entertainment up to date with new features included. Just a pleasure.
✅ Trip Verified | Stockholm to Denpasar via Doha. Still one of the world's top airlines. Perfect aircraft and the service is outstanding . Meals great, wine list perfect. Can't get any better than this!
Very comfortable seat , with pleanty of space and whell designed. Good storage , spacious cabin. Usial excellent Qatar service , superb staff.
✅ Trip Verified | Doha to Amsterdam on March 20th. In our cabin the attandent was Mrs Gisella. We want to compliment her. A very pleasant, friendly lady. The level of service was very high. She worked very hard and constantly. This review is one of appreciation! He
✅ Trip Verified | Doha to Kolkata. Another comfortable and punctual flight. Entrance into the plane to the business class cabin was through a dedicated jet bridge. A menu card of meal choices and liquor provided along with a basic amenities bag. Cabin is spacious and seats lie flat. Only two of the five items I selected from the duty free catalog were available - the flight attendant advised that sales on routes to destinations in South Asia were generally minimal and hence small inventory on board. But more amazing to me was that to pay, I had to provide one of those old style credit cards where the name and numbers are embossed as the attendant had no electronic card reader. She took out a mechanical contraption, placed my card on it and over it a multiple sheets credit card slip and then pulled a slide over them to get the imprint. She wrote by hand the amount of purchase and my name on the slip. How old fashioned - luckily I too had an old fashioned credit card with me too!
While the enthusiasm for Q suites is entirely justified, I had 1K from DOH-LHR. I'm glad that it was a day flight because the lavatory immediately behind me (in this backward facing seat) was VERY noisy. Otherwise the flight and service maintained QR's exceptionally high standards.
Having been allowed to explore the Economy section of this aircraft I can only agree that a 3-3-3 seating arrangement has been crushed into what should be 2-4-2. In the front cabin, however, where BA has 8 seats across (in its dreadful ying-yang layout) QR only has 4. so giving everyone direct aisle access. There is also a sense of spaciousness in the cabin, particularly because of the dresser type arrangement behind row 5. One downside is the lack of overhead bins for the middle seats. The seats are good, although the footwell a little cramped. I still prefer a QR A380, or any aircraft (such as a 777 or A350) offering the Q Suites. Having now flown on the 787s of five different airlines I must admit that I've never noticed the vaunted difference in pressurisation. Those enthusing about the of the windows aren't old enough to have flown in a Vickers Viscount.
