Frequently asked questions
When can I choose a seat on Air Canada Rouge?
Choose when booking, through Trips up to two hours before departure, or during check-in from 24 hours before departure. Basic charges for a Standard seat. Standard fares charge within Canada, to or from the United States and on selected international itineraries; other international itineraries include it. Flex, Comfort and Latitude include Standard selection. Aeroplan 50K, 75K and Super Elite members also receive Standard selection for themselves and companions on the same reservation. Preferred seats have separate conditions. Assignments can change; if the airline moves you from a paid seat, its refund rules apply.
Will my child sit with me on Rouge?
Air Canada assigns free Standard seats close together for children under 14 and an accompanying parent or guardian before check-in. Tell the airline the child’s age and review Trips to confirm the seats; Air Canada Vacations customers should review their itinerary. If one adult cannot be seated close to a child, contact Air Canada to switch to a flight with suitable proximity seating or cancel without an additional charge. Changing the free assignment or choosing Preferred Seats can cost extra.
