Frequently asked questions

Can I choose my seat on Air Greenland?

On domestic Dash 8 flights, seats are assigned at check-in and cannot be reserved in advance. Helicopter flights usually have open seating, although staff may direct passengers for safety or operational reasons. On Atlantic routes, you can choose a seat while booking online; a Standard fare includes selection except for extra-legroom seats. Confirmed seats can change for operational or safety reasons.

How do I request seating assistance with Air Greenland?

Tell Air Greenland about your needs when booking, or contact its Call Centre no later than 48 hours before departure. Atlantic exit-row passengers must be able to open the exit quickly without help and assist the crew; children, infants and passengers whose physical or cognitive limitations prevent those duties cannot occupy these seats.

What cabin baggage does Air Greenland allow?

Takuss, Standard and Standard Flex include one cabin bag up to 8 kg and 55 × 40 × 23 cm. Premium permits two pieces with a combined weight of 8 kg, with the same size limit. The airline also lists small items such as a handbag or purse separately. Oversized bags, or bags that cannot fit in the available cabin space, may travel in the hold.
