Can I reserve a particular seat on Air Tahiti?
Air Tahiti uses open seating: seats are not allocated at check-in, and you choose an available seat when boarding. Premium passengers choose among the seats in their booked Premium cabin on board.

Air Tahiti is French Polynesia’s inter-island airline, connecting its scattered archipelagos primarily with ATR 42 and ATR 72 turboprops. Its aircraft feature designs drawn from Polynesian cultural heritage. A Premium cabin introduced in April 2025 adds extra legroom at the front of selected flights.

Request it when booking through your travel agent or Air Tahiti’s additional-seat form; the service is not available through ordinary online booking. The airline offers approximately 45% off the full adult fare for the second seat, excluding taxes and surcharges; this discount does not apply to Ua Huka or Ua Pou flights. An additional baggage allowance accompanies the seat. Use an airport check-in desk, then identify yourself to the gate agent so the neighbouring seat remains free. The extra seat must stay clear of objects.
Adults and children over two may bring one cabin bag and one accessory, together within 55 × 35 × 25 cm and the applicable weight limit. Economy allows 5 kg within French Polynesia or 7 kg to Rarotonga; Premium allows 10 kg on either network. Infants under two receive one bag up to 5 kg domestically or 7 kg to Rarotonga, in either cabin. Accessories count within the allowance; cabin bags exceeding the limits may need checking, with excess charges if the hold allowance is exceeded.
