Frequently asked questions

Can I select an Air Tanzania seat after booking?

Manage My Booking allows preferred-seat selection for bookings made on Air Tanzania’s website, at its direct offices or through preferred agents using its ticketing system. An advance request does not guarantee a particular seat: Air Tanzania may reassign seats for operational, safety, regulatory, health or security reasons.

How much checked baggage does Air Tanzania include?

The allowance depends on route and cabin. Domestic Economy includes one bag up to 23 kg and Business one up to 30 kg. Within Africa, both cabins normally include two bags up to 23 kg each; Comoros routes instead allow two bags up to 15 kg each. Between Africa and other continents, Economy includes two bags up to 23 kg each and Business three bags up to 23 kg each.
