Official website

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to pay for a seat on Allegiant?

No. If you do not buy a particular seat, Allegiant assigns one free at check-in. To choose a location, pay during booking or use Manage Travel or the app before printing or downloading your boarding pass. Online check-in opens 24 hours before departure. Check your assignment before completing the boarding pass: seat changes are not available at airport check-in or after the pass has been printed or downloaded.

Who can sit in an Allegiant exit row?

You must be at least 15, willing and physically able to operate the exit and assist others without help, and able to understand the printed instructions and crew commands in English. The requirements include adequate vision, hearing and spoken communication. You cannot use a seat-belt extender, travel with a pet or service animal, or have a condition that could prevent the duties or cause harm. You must not be responsible for another passenger; a traveller with a child qualifies only when another responsible adult sits elsewhere with the child.

Will Allegiant automatically seat my family together?

Adjacent seats are not guaranteed. Allegiant recommends reserving seats for your party in advance. A child using a car seat must sit by a window, without blocking another passenger’s route to the aisle, and cannot use an exit row or the rows immediately in front of or behind it.

What can I bring into the Allegiant cabin for free?

One personal item up to 18 × 14 × 8 inches is free and must fit completely under the seat. A larger overhead bag costs extra and must fit within 22 × 16 × 10 inches. Measure exterior wheels and handles as well. Reserve the overhead bag before travel because airport prices are higher.
