Frequently asked questions

How can I choose a seat online?

Register as a China Express member to use online seat selection and check-in on supported domestic departures operated by the airline. Nanyang departures are excluded. Online service closes one hour before departure; available free or points-based seats appear in the system. Exit-area seats require an airport counter request. Seat assignments may change for operational reasons.

Who needs to arrange seating at the airport counter?

Infants, passengers travelling with infants, passengers with disabilities, wheelchair users and stretcher passengers must arrange seat selection at a staffed airport counter and obtain a printed boarding pass. Children cannot select seats online alone, but can be added with an accompanying adult.

Can I use membership points for priority seating?

Members and their activated beneficiaries can redeem points for the first three economy rows. Voluntary cancellations through the original channel are free up to three times when requested at least 70 minutes before departure. If airline disruption prevents use of the redeemed seat, request the points back through the original channel within 12 months of redemption.
