Frequently asked questions

When can I choose a seat on HAC flights?

HAC allows seat selection when booking, including its Special Saver fares, until 20 minutes before departure. For reservations made from two days before departure through the travel day, selection becomes available after payment. Available seats depend on the flight.

Who can sit in an emergency-exit seat on HAC?

HAC directs passengers to JAL’s exit-seat requirements. You must be at least 15, able and willing to assist with an evacuation and able to understand and relay crew instructions. You must not need assistance yourself or be responsible for someone who needs help, such as a child under eight on domestic flights. Another suitable accompanying adult may take responsibility instead. Bags cannot remain at your feet or on your lap during takeoff and landing.
