Frequently asked questions

How do I choose a seat on a Jazz-operated Air Canada Express flight?

Use Air Canada’s booking process, the Trips tab up to two hours before departure, or check-in within 24 hours. Standard-seat choice is included with Flex, Comfort and Latitude. Basic normally charges; Standard depends on itinerary, with eligible Aeroplan elite exemptions. If no seat is chosen, one is assigned at check-in; changing it may cost extra. Availability and aircraft restrictions apply.

Will Jazz-operated Air Canada Express flights seat young children with a parent?

Air Canada offers complimentary assignments for parents or guardians travelling with children under 14. Declare the children when booking, then check the arrangement in Trips before check-in. Contact Air Canada or your travel agent if it needs correcting. If adjacent seating cannot be arranged, the airline offers other flights or a full refund.

Does Economy Basic include a larger cabin bag on Jazz’s Air Canada Express flights?

Normally only a personal item is included for Basic tickets bought from 3 January 2025 on itineraries within Canada or to/from the U.S., Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. Larger bags must be checked for a fee. An onward international itinerary can retain a standard carry-on plus personal item. Eligible Aeroplan Elite, Star Alliance Gold and Aeroplan Premium card benefits remain applicable; core cards alone do not restore the larger cabin bag.
