Frequently asked questions

Can I move around a Maya Island Air cabin to take pictures?

The airline allows photographs only from your own seat, after takeoff and during flight, without interfering with the pilot. Flash photography is discouraged. Phones may be used in flight mode, but calls and texting during the flight are not allowed.

What baggage can I take on Maya Island Air?

The published allowance includes one small personal item, one carry-on up to 15 lb fitting under the seat, and one checked bag up to 50 lb and 62 inches in combined dimensions. Excess or oversized baggage costs extra and travels only if space is available.

Can a pet travel in Maya Island Air’s cabin?

Small vaccinated domestic pets up to 15 lb may travel in an owner-supplied, leakproof, ventilated kennel. One kennel is allowed per ticketed passenger. Depending on its size, it may need a paid designated shelf or seat rather than space at your feet. The pet stays inside throughout boarding and flight. Contact reservations at least 48 hours beforehand; staff determine the final arrangement. Service animals have separate rules.
