Frequently asked questions

Can I choose a seat on a National Jet Systems domestic QantasLink flight?

Use Qantas Manage Booking or the Qantas app. Standard domestic selection is complimentary where available; some QantasLink services offer only an aisle or window preference. Availability and operational or safety changes can affect assignments. Contact Qantas directly for disability-related seating needs.

Who can use an exit-row seat on National Jet Systems’ QantasLink flights?

Qantas requires passengers to be at least 15, follow instructions in English and be physically able to help, including lifting an exit weighing up to 20 kg. Restrictions cover extension belts, service dogs, amputated or prosthetic limbs, and uncorrected hearing or vision impairments. You cannot be responsible for someone needing emergency help, unless another guardian sits elsewhere with the child. Any hearing or vision correction must be used during taxi, take-off and landing. Crew decide eligibility; overwing-exit baggage must be stowed overhead during those phases.

What cabin baggage is allowed on National Jet Systems’ domestic QF flights?

Qantas’ domestic Economy and Business allowance is one overhead bag, one under-seat bag and a small personal item, totalling up to 14 kg with no item over 10 kg. The overhead bag limit is 56 × 36 × 23 cm; the under-seat bag limit is 34 × 48 × 23 cm, including wheels and stowed handles. Use the lowest allowance if your itinerary connects with a more restrictive flight.
