Frequently asked questions

Can I reserve a particular seat?

Advance selection may be available, but RAC’s conditions allow assignments to change without notice after aircraft changes or other unavoidable operational needs. RAC directs ticket reservations and changes to JAL’s booking channels.

What cabin baggage can I bring?

RAC allows one safely stowable bag with combined dimensions up to 100 cm, plus one personal-item bag. Together they may weigh no more than 10 kg. Necessary mobility aids and child-care items have separate provisions. Infants without seats have no separate allowance.

How much checked baggage is free?

RAC’s standard free allowance is 20 kg; infants without seats have no separate allowance. A passenger’s own disability wheelchair and qualifying child equipment are carried separately free. The total accepted checked weight is capped at 45 kg per passenger, with each piece normally limited to 32 kg and 50 × 60 × 120 cm.

Can ordinary pets travel in the cabin?

RAC’s conditions accept small domestic pets as checked baggage, with a separate per-cage charge. Qualifying guide, hearing and mobility assistance dogs have a cabin exception for passengers with disabilities.
