Frequently asked questions

Does Safarilink’s luggage allowance include cabin baggage?

Yes. The total is normally 15 kg per person in soft bags, including hand baggage. The allowance is 20 kg for Zanzibar, Kisumu, Diani, Lamu, Malindi, Entebbe and Mombasa. An infant without a paid seat has no allowance. Extra baggage depends on available aircraft capacity.

Can I book a freight seat for extra baggage on Safarilink?

For safari routes, a freight seat at the adult Y-class rate can provide an additional 75 kg allowance, subject to Operations approval. The baggage FAQ excludes non-safari routes. Arrange this before travel; it is not permission to place a large bag unsecured on a passenger seat.

Can a pet travel on a Safarilink safari flight?

Pets are not accepted on safari routes or flights operated by Cessna Caravans. On Dash 8 services, approval is subject to an airline-approved container, a 20 kg published limit and carriage in the baggage hold. Confirm the aircraft, acceptance and applicable charge before booking.
