Frequently asked questions

What carry-on baggage does Skytrans allow?

Scheduled passenger flights allow two cabin items with a combined weight of 7 kg. The maximum published cabin-bag dimensions are 48 × 34 × 23 cm. Wheelchairs, other mobility aids and strollers do not count toward the baggage allowance.

Does Skytrans have different baggage limits for Lord Howe Island?

Yes. Lord Howe Island flights allow one 14 kg checked bag plus an additional 9 kg bag; the additional bag may travel on another flight because of aircraft capacity. Other flights allow two checked items weighing 20 kg combined. Checked baggage is limited to 140 cm in combined dimensions; excess items or weight have separate conditions and charges.

Can Skytrans provide assistance if I cannot travel independently?

Confirm your requirements before booking: assistance is limited and availability varies by airport and service. If you cannot travel independently, Skytrans requires an accompanying passenger to provide the assistance and supervision you need. Ask in advance about wheelchair, service-dog or other special-service arrangements.
