Frequently asked questions

Can I choose a seat on Thai AirAsia?

Yes. Pick-A-Seat is a paid option with a Low Fare; Value Pack includes a Standard Seat and Premium Flex includes seat selection. Value Pack is unavailable on Fly-Thru itineraries to, from or through Thailand, India and Japan. You can select or change a seat through AirAsia MOVE until two hours before departure, subject to availability; airport counter purchases close four hours before departure. Without a purchase, a seat is assigned free at check-in. Operational or safety requirements can still change your seat.

Will my child sit beside me on Thai AirAsia?

Children under 12 must sit beside an accompanying adult. This does not promise that every member of a group will sit together: passengers without reserved seats receive random assignments. Reserve the seats you want together if the whole group’s arrangement matters.

What is Thai AirAsia’s standard cabin baggage allowance?

The standard allowance is one cabin bag up to 56 × 36 × 23 cm and one small personal item up to 40 × 30 × 10 cm, with a combined weight of 7 kg. Stow them overhead and underseat respectively. Excess size or weight can require checked carriage and a charge.
