Frequently asked questions

When can I reserve a seat?

Paid reservations normally open 30 days before departure and close 48 hours before departure, or 74 hours for intercontinental flights scheduled to take more than eight hours. TUI guarantees the reserved seat type rather than a particular seat number. For stays longer than 20 days, reservations open 30 days before the return flight.

Which cabin bags are included?

Passengers aged two and over may bring a small bag up to 40 × 30 × 20 cm. Package holidays also include a large bag up to 55 × 40 × 20 cm and 10 kg. For flight-only bookings made from March 30, 2026, for departures from May 1, 2026, the large bag costs extra unless Fly Deluxe includes it; it can be added only during ticket booking. Earlier bookings or departures include both bags. A large bag may travel in the hold free if overhead space runs out. Children under two have no separate cabin allowance.

Is checked baggage included?

Economy and Comfort checked baggage must be purchased. Fly Deluxe includes 40 kg when departing from the Netherlands and 25 kg when departing from Belgium. No individual bag may weigh more than 32 kg. Unused cabin baggage weight cannot be transferred to the checked allowance.

Can I bring a dog or cat into the cabin?

Only on short and medium-haul flights: pet and carrier together must weigh no more than 8 kg, with a carrier up to 50 × 35 × 30 cm. Long-haul pets travel only in the hold, subject to acceptance rules. Request carriage at least three working days ahead and bring two completed, signed animal-acceptance checklists to check-in. Destination documents and vaccinations are required; approval is necessary.
