Western Air is a family-owned Bahamian airline established in September 2000 by Rex and Shandrice Rolle. It links islands across The Bahamas with Embraer 145LR and XR jets and also flies to South Florida. Alongside scheduled services, it provides on-demand charters, with facilities at San Andros and Freeport.

Tell the airline when booking and remind the check-in agent if you need a wheelchair. Special assistance has no extra charge. Its guidance asks passengers who need help climbing the aircraft stairs to travel with a caretaker.
The published domestic and international guidance includes a first checked bag up to 40 lb free. Additional or overweight bags attract charges and depend on available space; they may follow on another flight. Confirm any heavy or unusually sized item before travel.
Book the pet in advance because places are limited. An approved carrier must not exceed 17 × 12.5 × 8.5 inches, and pet plus carrier together must weigh no more than 20 lb. A pet fee applies, and vaccination and entry documents must meet each destination’s requirements.
