Wingo Panama is the Panamanian operator La Nueva Aerolínea, part of Copa Holdings. It was incorporated in 2021 and began flying under the Wingo brand in 2023. Copa’s 2025 annual report states that the company stopped passenger services in August 2025 and switched exclusively to freight. Colombia’s AeroRepública continues to operate the separate passenger business under the Wingo brand.

Copa Holdings reports that La Nueva Aerolínea has operated exclusively as a freight carrier since August 2025. This is separate from AeroRepública’s passenger Wingo operation in Colombia, so that airline’s current seating, baggage and pet rules should not be treated as Wingo Panama’s.
