Frequently asked questions

When can I choose a seat on Air Arabia Abu Dhabi?

You can choose during booking, add a seat afterwards, or select from what remains during online or airport check-in. Basic charges for selection. The UAE Value bundle includes standard seats from row 8 onwards; Ultimate includes seats from row 2 onwards, subject to the options offered for your flight. Premium seats may cost extra outside your bundle. A confirmed selection can still change for operational, safety or security reasons.

Will our group be seated together?

You can select adjacent seats during online check-in if they remain available, and airport staff will try to place passengers together. Adjacent seating depends on availability; choose seats earlier in the booking process if sitting together is important.

How do I arrange wheelchair or other assistance?

Tell Air Arabia about your needs when booking, preferably at least 48 hours before departure. Late requests will be considered but depend on what can be provided. Explain any need for personal care or help evacuating, as companion and medical-clearance requirements may apply. On arrival, tell airport staff about your wheelchair and allow extra time. Mobility aids weighing more than 60 kg need prior airline approval after airport facilities are checked.

What can I carry into the cabin?

The allowance is one cabin bag up to 7 kg and 55 × 40 × 20 cm, plus one personal item up to 3 kg and 25 × 33 × 20 cm. The personal item must fit under the seat. Duty-free purchases must fit inside these bags and within the combined 10 kg limit. When travelling with an infant under two, you may bring an additional small bag of baby essentials up to 3 kg that fits under the seat.

How much checked baggage can I take?

Check your fare and booking: Basic normally charges for checked baggage, while the UAE Value bundle lists 20 or 30 kg and Ultimate lists 30 or 40 kg. Cairo flights have specific inclusions. When buying baggage, check both the weight and permitted number of pieces; a 30 kg one-piece option does not permit two bags. Pre-book the allowance you need because overweight baggage attracts additional charges.

Can I check in and hand over bags at home in Abu Dhabi?

Yes. Morafiq provides a paid home, hotel or office check-in service within 50 km of Zayed International Airport for eligible non-transit departures. Collection takes place between 24 and five hours before departure; all travellers, including children and infants, must be present. Agents check documents, issue boarding passes and bag tags, and collect baggage. The service excludes unaccompanied minors, passengers needing medical assistance, pets or live cargo, and unconfirmed bookings. Airport transport is not included.
