Frequently asked questions

Can I choose an Air Cairo seat in advance?

On Air Cairo-operated flights, select a seat online after booking or through My Booking until 48 hours before departure. Advance selection normally costs extra, with inclusion on some flexible fares. Otherwise, a random seat is assigned free during check-in. A chosen seat can change for operational, safety or security reasons, including after boarding.

Who can sit in an Air Cairo exit row?

You must be at least 14, able and willing to follow crew instructions in English, assess outside conditions and operate an exit weighing up to 20 kg. Restrictions cover pregnancy, disability or limited mobility, prosthetic or amputated limbs, uncorrected vision or hearing impairment, and travel with a cabin pet or service dog. Responsibility for a child or another passenger can also disqualify you; a second guardian seated elsewhere may be required. Staff verify eligibility and may move you.

Will Air Cairo seat my child beside an adult?

Air Cairo makes reasonable efforts to seat children under 12 next to an accompanying adult on the same reservation. Available seats can be limited, so select seats early if you need specific places for the family. Charges depend on the fare.

What hand baggage can I take on Air Cairo?

Air Cairo allows one cabin bag up to 7 kg and 55 × 40 × 23 cm, including wheels, handles and pockets. Its page also accepts specified small items such as a laptop, small camera, umbrella or walking stick in addition. These are Air Cairo’s own-flight rules; an operating codeshare partner may have different allowances.
