Frequently asked questions

Can I choose an ALROSA seat or receive an automatic assignment?

You can choose during purchase, through My Bookings before check-in opens, during online check-in, through a ticket agency or at the airport. Advance choice may cost extra; Business passengers do not pay the selection fee. Without advance selection, seats are assigned automatically. Online check-in also lets passengers whose fare excludes free selection skip seat choice and receive an available seat. The current policy places the switch from advance selection to online check-in at 36 hours before departure.

Who is excluded from ALROSA emergency-exit seats?

The restrictions exclude passengers under 18, passengers travelling with children up to 12 or infants, pregnant passengers, people requiring medical assessment or mobility assistance, and those using extension belts. They also exclude certain escorted passengers, foreigners who cannot understand Russian or English, cabin pets and seat-occupying baggage. An ineligible passenger may be moved without compensation for the seat-selection fee.

What cabin baggage weight and size does ALROSA publish?

For its own flights, ALROSA publishes a 55 × 40 × 25 cm cabin-bag limit, with up to 10 kg in Economy and 15 kg in Business. A backpack, handbag or briefcase up to 5 kg and 75 cm in total dimensions is among the permitted additional items. The Economy allowance is different on 6R-4xxx codeshares operated by UTair: 5 kg and 40 × 30 × 20 cm. Check the operating airline before packing.
