Frequently asked questions
Can an infant have a separate seat on Calm Air?
An infant under two can travel on the lap of a fare-paying adult aged 16 or over, with one infant per adult. You can instead purchase a seat, in which case a Transport Canada-approved car seat is required. Lap infants do not receive the normal free baggage allowance; a car seat and stroller can be checked free.
Which checked bags are included in a Calm Air fare?
FLY fares charge for the first two bags, FLYflex includes one, and FLYplus and SOAR include two. A standard checked piece may weigh up to 50 lb and measure 158 cm in combined length, width and height. Excess pieces and weight have separate charges and acceptance conditions.
Can I bring a small pet into the Calm Air cabin?
Yes, subject to availability and advance arrangements made at least 48 hours before travel. The pet and kennel together must weigh no more than 20 lb; the kennel must fit under the seat and measure at most 10 × 16 × 12 inches. It counts as carry-on baggage and attracts a charge. Another operating carrier may apply different restrictions.
