Frequently asked questions
When is PAL Airlines seat selection free?
For PAL’s own domestic scheduled service, its tariff lists a CA$10 fee plus tax per one-way ticket for selecting a seat within 24 hours of booking; selection after that booking window is free. The fee is waived for disability-related seating needs. A particular seat is not guaranteed, and the selection fee is refundable if PAL moves you for operational or safety reasons.
How close will PAL seat my child to an accompanying adult?
On its domestic scheduled service, PAL facilitates seating without an extra charge for children under 14. Children four or younger sit adjacent; ages 5–11 sit in the same row with no more than one seat between them and the adult; ages 12–13 sit no more than one row away. If seats are not arranged in advance, staff work on them at check-in or seek volunteers before departure.
How do I request an extra PAL seat because of a disability?
Contact PAL’s Customer Service and Reservations Centre and submit its Additional Seating Request form at least 96 hours before your flight. This includes requests related to obesity. For later submissions, PAL says it will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the request.
What cabin baggage does PAL Airlines allow?
On PAL’s own service, you may bring one carry-on bag up to 21 × 9 × 15 inches and one personal item up to 16 × 6 × 13 inches. If you connect to Air Borealis, its aircraft do not permit a carry-on bag; personal items are accepted and a sky-check service is available.
