When can I choose an EVA Air seat for free?

Royal Laurel, Premium Laurel and Business Class passengers can select seats free of charge. In other cabins, advance selection depends on the fare family and membership benefits. During online or mobile check-in within 48 hours of departure, remaining Premium Economy, Preferred and Standard seats are free, except for group bookings in class G. Extra Legroom seats remain chargeable. Paid selection applies to eligible international flights operated by EVA Air or UNI Air, excluding partner codeshares.

Can an EVA Air paid seat be changed or refunded?

For a paid seat change, contact EVA Air's customer service or a ticketing office. A higher-priced replacement requires payment of the difference; choosing a cheaper seat does not refund the difference. Seat fees are generally nonrefundable, with exceptions including qualifying involuntary changes, an upgrade to a higher cabin, or a refund of the associated flight ticket.

What cabin baggage can I take on EVA Air?

Economy and Premium Economy allow one cabin bag weighing up to 7 kg. Royal Laurel, Premium Laurel and Business allow two, each up to 7 kg. EVA publishes a maximum of 23 × 36 × 56 cm per bag, or total dimensions of 115 cm. You may also carry a small personal item measuring 40 × 30 × 10 cm, or 80 cm in total dimensions, subject to local restrictions. Cabin space can still require a bag to be checked.
