Frequently asked questions
How can I choose my Fuji Dream Airlines seat?
Open the reservation details on FDA’s website and select an available seat; online advance choices are limited, so ask the airport counter if none can be selected. A separate front-seat reservation service costs ¥3,000 per seat on scheduled routes, booked through the call centre by the day before departure and paid at the airport. Aircraft changes or unavoidable operational reasons can still change a specific seat assignment.
Does Fuji Dream Airlines have middle seats?
No. FDA’s Embraer 170 and 175 cabins use a two-by-two arrangement, with a window and aisle seat on each side. Seats in the last row do not recline.
What does FDA ask passengers near emergency exits to do?
They may be asked to assist the crew during an evacuation: keep other passengers clear until the exit is open, help people coming down the evacuation slide, direct them away from the aircraft and follow other crew instructions. Read the safety card after boarding.
How do I arrange FDA assistance or a supportive seat belt?
Request Priority Dream Support through the call centre, selecting option 4, even if you booked online. FDA can arrange wheelchair assistance and loans an upper-body support belt free with an advance reservation. Complete airport-counter procedures at least 45 minutes before departure with an electric wheelchair, or 30 minutes before departure for other assistance. Medical equipment or serious illness may require FDA’s medical forms. Your own wheelchair is checked into the hold; airport wheelchair availability is limited.
Does my infant need a separate seat on FDA?
A child aged eight days to under three can travel on a companion’s lap without a ticket, with one lap child per companion aged at least 12. A separate seat requires a child-fare ticket arranged through the call centre. Without a child restraint, children under two must return to the companion’s lap whenever the seat-belt sign is on. For an onboard child restraint, notify FDA in advance, use a qualifying device compatible with the aircraft’s two-point belt, and check in at the counter. Babies under eight days cannot travel.
What cabin baggage can I bring on FDA?
You may take one personal item and one cabin bag. The bag must fit within 45 × 35 × 20 cm and 100 cm in total dimensions, with a 10 kg weight limit. Even a compliant item may need to be checked if it cannot be stored safely in the cabin.
What checked baggage does FDA include?
FDA includes 20 kg per passenger, with no fixed piece count within its limits. Each piece must fit within 50 × 60 × 120 cm and weigh at most 32 kg. Additional baggage attracts excess charges, up to a total of 100 kg. Certain sports items can be accepted up to 250 cm long only if they fit in the hold.
Can my pet travel in FDA’s cabin?
Dogs, cats, birds and similar ordinary pets travel in the ventilated, temperature-controlled hold, not the cabin. The fee is ¥5,000 per crate per flight sector; French bulldogs, bulldogs, pregnant animals and animals unfit to fly are excluded. Arrange transport through the call centre, bring the consent form and complete procedures 30 minutes ahead. JAL-flight-number bookings cannot use advance pet registration. Goldfish, small turtles and insects may enter the cabin only in small containers totaling about 40 cm across three dimensions, secured against escape or leaks, covered from view, and without noise or odor. Recognized assistance dogs have separate arrangements.
Can I check in online with Fuji Dream Airlines?
Yes. FDA introduced web check-in on March 29, 2026. For an FDA reservation, use a smartphone from 5 a.m. on the departure day until 20 minutes before departure; computers and tablets are not supported. You can select or change an available seat during the process. Show the mobile boarding pass at security and boarding, and reach the gate at least ten minutes before departure. Passengers needing counter assistance should follow their applicable earlier deadlines.
