Frequently asked questions
When can I select or change a seat?
Choose after making your reservation. Use Reservation Confirmation until 24 hours before departure, then online check-in from 24 hours to 20 minutes before departure. Advance seats are limited; if none can be selected, complete the process at the airport. Aircraft changes or other operational reasons can alter assignments without notice.
Who is eligible for an exit-row seat?
Passengers must be at least 15, communicate in Japanese or English and be willing and able to assist with an evacuation without help. They cannot be accompanying a child under eight or have responsibilities that prevent emergency assistance. All bags must be stowed overhead, rather than at the feet or on laps.
How do I arrange assistance or bring my wheelchair?
Call the ANA Disability Desk and describe your needs when reserving. Confirm your chair’s dimensions, weight and battery type with IBEX’s reservation centre because aircraft restrictions apply. Use an ANA airport counter; electric-wheelchair users should arrive about 60 minutes before departure and bring battery specifications. Onboard wheelchairs are available.
What cabin baggage fits on IBEX?
One cabin bag may measure up to 45 × 35 × 20 cm, including handles and wheels, with combined dimensions no more than 100 cm. The total weight of the bag and personal effects is limited to 10 kg. Cabin space is restricted, so even compliant baggage may need to go in the hold at the gate.
Can my dog or cat travel in the cabin?
Ordinary dogs and cats are accepted as checked pets, rather than cabin passengers, subject to cage and aircraft restrictions. Complete the request at an ANA counter at least 30 minutes before departure and pay the pet fee. Large dogs cannot be accepted; listed short-nosed breeds are excluded from 1 May through 31 October. Recognised assistance dogs have a separate free cabin provision.
