Frequently asked questions

When can I reserve a Marabu seat?

Reserve or change an available seat at least 48 hours before departure, or select during online check-in. Choosing a more expensive seat requires payment of the difference in price. Aircraft changes can alter assignments; contact the Service Centre for a refund of the reservation fee when the aircraft type changes.

Who can use a Marabu emergency-exit seat?

You must be at least 14, speak English, be able to operate the exit and assist the crew. Pregnant passengers, passengers travelling with cabin pets and people whose mobility or ability prevents emergency assistance are excluded. Reassignment for failing these requirements does not entitle you to a seat-fee refund.

Can I buy an empty seat beside me on Marabu?

Economy passengers can book an Extra Seat at online check-in or the airport, subject to availability. It must be in the same row, possibly across the aisle, and cannot be an exit-row seat. Operational aircraft changes can remove it; contact the Service Centre for the fee refund.

How does Marabu arrange assistance and companion seating?

Request free airport assistance at least 48 hours ahead and arrive at least two hours before departure. Eligible passengers can arrange free seating for themselves and companions through the Service Centre, subject to availability; exit rows are excluded. There is no onboard wheelchair. If you need help with personal care or safety tasks in flight, book your companion’s ticket at the same time.

What cabin baggage does Marabu include?

Every fare includes a small personal item up to 40 × 30 × 15 cm. Economy Zero charges for a larger cabin bag; other Economy fares include one up to 55 × 40 × 23 cm, within an 8 kg combined allowance. Business includes two larger cabin bags within 16 kg combined; an individual piece cannot exceed 10 kg.

Does Marabu include checked baggage?

Economy Zero charges separately. Economy Classic, Choice and Flex include 20 kg, changing to one bag up to 23 kg for departures from May 1, 2027. Business includes 30 kg plus one sporting-equipment item; from that date its checked allowance becomes two bags up to 32 kg each.

Can a cat or dog travel in Marabu’s cabin?

Eligible pets travel on direct flights only, with a confirmed reservation made at least 24 hours ahead. Pet and carrier together may weigh 8 kg; the carrier must fit within 55 × 40 × 23 cm and stay closed under the seat. Bring the completed acceptance checklist. One pet per passenger and carrier is allowed; exit rows and seats behind cabin partitions are excluded. Animals generally must be four months old, or seven months when entering the EU from unlisted third countries. Listed fighting and short-nosed breeds, including mixes, are excluded. Marabu does not carry animals in the hold.

When can I check in online for Marabu?

The window is 48–4 hours before departure. Use your check-in reference and surname. Unaccompanied minors, animal travellers and groups larger than nine use airport check-in. Hurghada and Agadir passengers can check in online but collect boarding passes at the airport. Economy Zero passengers seeking free airport check-in after an online failure need a screenshot showing their name, reference, date and time.
